Eleven-year-old Elf lives with her mother and younger brother in a house by the river. Her father left them a while before. And yet, day by day, her desire to meet him grows stronger.

She graduated as a director at the Maastricht Theatre Academy, and directs both theatre and film. As part of her graduation, she made the short film ‘When Birds Fly Low’ in collaboration with a number of students and alumni of the Netherlands Film Academy.
